This year we are trying to streamline some of our art rubrics to reduce confusion and create continuity throughout our department. We have worked hard to create a system that will allow growth & allow positive criticism in a very subjective field. By having facial expressions attached to a number of points we are attempting to create an awareness of our teacher expectations while not destroying the confidence of our students.

Example: If a student receives one sad face 20 points, and one happy face 22 points, with two excited face 25+25 points.

Total = sad 20+ happy 22+ excited 25+ excited 25= 92% A-

If you play with the numbers you will see the differences. Pretty interesting.. πŸ™‚

A+ 99 – 100% C+ 80 – 81% A 94 – 98% C 74 – 79% A- 92 – 93% C- 72 – 73% B+ 90 – 91% D+ 70 – 71% B 84 – 89% D 65 – 69% B- 82 – 83% F Below 65%
